Marguerite Thibodeau has written about Canadian online gambling since 2017 — from before Ontario opened its regulated market in 2022, through the split that followed.
Her work turns on a distinction most pages here blur: an operator licensed by iGaming Ontario and an operator licensed offshore are not two flavours of the same thing. They differ in who you can complain to. Every site on this page is the second kind, and that is stated above the list rather than in the footer.
On bonuses she converts the percentage into the number that decides anything — the wagering requirement in dollars. A 200% match on $1,000 at 40x is $80,000 of play, and that figure never appears next to the percentage.
She lives in Halifax and is reachable through the editors.
